What These Videos are About:
When I conducted the interviews with remarkable leaders that became the basis of my recent book, The Golden Flame, I was deeply moved. In many ways, those interviews transformed my life.
Can you imagine spending 2 hours with an extraordinary leader every 2 weeks for almost 2 years? It was truly life altering, causing me to question where I was playing it safe in life, and emboldening me to make significant changes, all to the good.
After the interviews were complete, I often wished I had videotaped these meetings to share with the world. Although I did not have the foresight at the time, the outpouring of positive response to The Golden Flame, has convinced me to move forward and videotape future meetings with leaders so that I can share them with the public.
The enclosed “Meetings with Remarkable Leaders” are intended to offer an on-going dialogue with extraordinary leaders, each of whom are what I call “framebreakers.” Their lives and their leadership choices are dedicated to producing a breakthrough in their respective arenas of work.
Joining them in an exploration of paradigm shifting leadership and taping the meetings, I am able to offer insight into how these individuals have moved beyond cultural constraints and personal challenges to achieve greatness. Someday, these interviews will culminate in a book on the subject of framebreaking leadership. For now, I am simply sharing as I go.
Since there are significant costs involved in producing these meetings, including working with a professional cinematographer using state of the art equipment (that would be Greg Ondera—the creator of SurgeonToday.org, I will eventually want to offer this growing body of work through some kind of paid subscription.
For now I offer it freely in hopes of generating interest and excitement about these wonderful meetings. I expect to post a new interview at least every couple of months, if not more often.
